Astraeus Cygnus

Pets installed. It's Monday night. Astraeus is a boy. His aspiration is high. So I'll wait to fill his want to get a bird cage and skill him a bit. Who knows what I'll roll for him when he's a teen. Better to be ready for college, though.
Damn, Cassidy's pregnant again. what can I say? She needed some loving. It's not right feeling lonely if you have a husband and son. So I made her and Iapetus woohoo. Yea, I could have had them pillow fight (which is what they did the next morning,) but they're husband and wife, darn it.
Four generations of Cygnus men!
Vince, the headmaster came over to assess Astraeus (by assess I mean get a good meal and be shown a fancy house). I invited Count Alvin over, also. Except the game is glitching hardcore. Making backups, uninstalling, re-installing. Ahhh!
Alright. Poot. Vince disappeared after re-installment. Oh well, we can get him in later. But Oceanus got to spend time with his creator and Crius rocked out with Rhea. Good ole quality family time.
The next morning I bought Astraeus the bird cage. No bird yet, though. I'm afraid I might kill it. I also found out pregnant women can't do yoga. Probably for the best, but I'm still making Cassidy run on the treadmill. She needs those body points.
Crius, being of rotting mind and body, called work and retired. We've got more than enough money in the bank, $264,406. So they aren't millionaires. I'm not too concerned though. What does concern me is that no animals have meandered onto the lot. I should just make the pets in create-a-pet. Let's see, what's a good pet for a growing boy. Why a bear, of course. Nah, a dog will do.
Grandpa Crius has been hitting the juice all morning, talking about the good ole days with Allison burning breakfast, finding ways to make it sound dirty. Go Grandpa! Okay, okay, dog-making time... except all Astraeus wants is to play with a bird. Fine. I have the birdcage, might as well put a bird in it.
There, Bird. His names Archimedes. Bought an aquarium, too. For funzies. Oceanus spent his night teaching how to talk. Archimedes, not the fish. About political science and economy of all things.
Oceanus got a guinea pig after he taught Archimedes how to talk, named the guinea pig Thales. Catching my theme here?
Next day Astraeus brought Chloe over from school. These kids don't even like each other. Chloe wouldn't play with the boy and everything she talked about he ignored. It's like they're married already. And I think I'll hold off on the dogs and cats. Kids only ten days old, he's got some time. Besides, that bird is annoying enough.
Cassidy has a baby girl, Asteria. I'm not worried. Oceanus, Crius and Iapetus all don't have jobs. They don't need them. The household will never spend $250,000.
Hmm. Kinda not cool. Crius is thinking about brains while hovering over Asteria. I give in to Iapetus' silly demands of wanting a television and stereo. Even got him the cussing bubble blower. I'm so getting rid of all this crap when he kicks the bucket.
What the crackin crack?! Asteria has blond hair?! But her eyebrows are black? Make sense Sim universe! Oh, we're changing this straight away! Oh, by the by, she's a Sagittarius, 4/7/8/8/6. Man, I need a neat spouse. She's also incredibly hard to teach. Takes for evar!
Astraeus turns into a teen, becoming a pop sim. Lame! In a desperate attempt to improve Iapetus' aspiration he took Cassidy on a date. At their own house. And had woohoo in the car. And she got pregnant again! Damn it. Whoa, its been a while since any of the ghosts came out to haunt. It's like Allison knows what they did in the car! On the upside Iapetus' in the plat.
Asteria grew into a pretty little girl. Cassidy isn't taking her last pregnancy will at all. She's starving, uncomfortable, smelly, miserable and she keeps throwing up. Baby-having is a real life suck.
But grandpa Zombie benefits by making her grilled cheese all the time. I grew fed up with Iapetus' lazing about and got him a job as President of a business corporation. His second day he interviews for another company during lunch and somehow launches a fork across the restaurant. That little blunder not only did not bode well for the interview, it cost him 3 charisma points.
Cassidy, on the other hand, managed to settle a menial labor debacle and got herself promoted. She's only a couple charisma from becoming a Hall of Famer and earning her permanent platinum status.
Alright, enough messing around! I need a spouse! Spouse, spouse, spouse. Errrrmmmm. I think it's time for Andrea to join the game. Let's see. Someone has to be friends with her. Nope, never mind. Arcadia, that is, if the two get along together. What the hell, I'll invite both of them and see who Astraeus gets along with best.
Just from the greeting Andrea wins by a landslide, but Arcadia has the most to offer to the family genes. Against my better judgement, I'm going with Arcadia. Andrea can join the genetic hell that is this family later. Astraeus hunts down and gets to know Arcadia a little better.
That is until Cassidy comes home and gives birth right in the driveway. To a baby girl. In keeping with the incidental 'A' theme we named her Artemis, busting through that titan barrier and diving into the Olympians.
Archimedes, the parrot-hawk thing died... Great. Let us remember him as the free spirit. Always exploring. I'm not getting another one.
Ahhh, Cassidy is perma-plat. I can forget about her! Mwahahahahahaha! No matter how she dies I'll get that gold tombstone.
Speaking of death, I think it's about time to move out our undead relatives. Seven people is too much. Great Grandpapi Vampire and Grandpa Zombie have got to find some new digs. Ahhh, space. Refreshing.
I guess I should mention Artemis' personality. She's a Gemini, 5/9/9/8/3. Not nice. Hmm, I don't care. Asteria grew up into a teen, rolled six, Pleasure sim. Neato! Oh my glob is she hot. And Artemis made it safely to childhood.
Okay, I need to do some major damage control, Astraeus is about to hit aspiration bottom. Oh, crap! Marylena's ghost is going to pester Artemis! And Asteria needs to find people to date. It's all her little heart desires. She met Tosha Go. I always loved that name.
Crap, my fish died, too. I'm not good at this pet thing. How are the ones I have in real life still alive?! But Thales the hamster, guinea pig thing is still alive and kicking. (Don't jinx it!)
Shoo Astraeus off to college.~~
To boost Asteria's aspiration, I asked Tosha Go on a date. Oh my grob, I made Asteria a lesbian. Well, she's plat. Got that dream date under her belt. And Artemis teenifies, landing her aspiration in wealth, oh yes. Now time to leave the family alone and hit up college.
I can't wait to re roll Astraeus' aspiration. I cussing hate pop sims. I did something terribly cruel to him. I made him a geek. I love him more now than ever before. Anyway, Arcadia invited him out for a night on the town and things got steamy. No woohoo, but Astraeus finally got his first kiss, and I found out Arcadia is a Virgo. Woot woot! Just the sign I need to mix up the family genes.
On campus, Astraeus has taken up fixing all the ugly in his dorm. it isn't an easy job. I think it's a little ironic considering his choice in appearance. (I mean, my choice.)
Yay! Time for re roll! Six.. Shit! Pleasure Sim! LTW? 50 dream dates. He's his father! And sister! Balls! I'm using different dice from now on. Astraeus was a busy boy, got a bronze badge in styling, gold in flower arranging and gold in robotics. Not to mention he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a major in Mathematics, had three dream dates with Arcadia, and proposed to her on the last one. All the while growing closer to his sister, Asteria and Artemis. I'm feeling pretty pro right now.
Now it's time to add pets to the family and I ask myself. What kind of pets would the Cygnus' have? This ain't no poodle family. So, one big dog, breed undetermined, he's shaggy and handsome. And two cats (Hoping for kittens down the line.)
So Astraeus rejoins the family with his furry friends, Berkeley, Zeno and Sartre.
Sartre starts eating Asteria's homework. That's hilarious! Actually, all the new animals took a whack at her homework. Totally need to get these guys to stop destroying the furniture. Welp, enough pet glow, time to get Arcadia  to join the family and start pumping out babies. She joins with $19,000, 3 friends a career in crime and a toy race car. Hahahaha. She's a knowledge sim with a LTW to become Chief of Staff in the Medical field. Again, she's a Virgo, 9/2/6/3/5. I am so cool with this. And conception on the first try, oh yes.
Oh my grob, I'm so glad I got rid of Oceanus and Crius, the Legacy lot is busy enough without them. I don't understand why everyone refuses the use the upstairs bathroom.
Alright, yea, still too many people. Asteria and Artemis are getting the college boot.
I love these animals. They are the coolest! I wish I had made a mate for Berkeley, but kittens and puppies is probably too much. I want to give the kittens to all the extended family!
After many many many many hours crafting at his robotics station, Astraeus finally completed his masterpiece. the family's own mechanical butler! I named his Metatron. He's exactly like Astraeus, except he doesn't have his badges. He does have an inexplicable bronze badge in cashiering, though. He doesn't eat, use the bathroom, get dirty, and he's solar powered! God, I love Servos. He even gets along with the pets!
Holy whoa, Iapetus made it to the top of his career track. On top of getting his promotion and standard bonus, the deal he landed which earned him his promotion also landed him with a $35,000 cut. I need to spend money on something. (Also helicopter rides to and from work.)
And Arcadia gives birth to a baby girl. We name her Leto. Conception the second time around is troublesome. Not cool, Astraeus! Give up the family goods! Success.
Note to self, keep robots out of the hot tub. It's always worrisome seeing your zombie grandpa hobble across your lot menacingly. I think he plans on stealing the newspaper. He was cackling creepily, picked it up and didn't even run, like most people. He hobbled away slowly. Zombies are awesome. The old thief comes back to hang out with the family. Bwahahahaha!
So I'm slowly realizing Sartre and Zeno aren't going to have kittens. They do not interact with each other at all. It makes me sad. Very sad. Berkeley lost his job and fricken Leto took forever to grow the eff up, wasting everyone's time.
Iapetus ditched teaching Leto how to walk to play with Sartre. What the heck, grandpa?! Arcadia gives birth to another girl, Eos, and apparently seven family members and three pets is the household limit. Iapetus and Cassidy have at least a week before they descend into the great beyond. Metatron is too helpful to send out on his own. So Arcadia has some time to advance in the medical field. Oh wait, no. It's 'cause Metatron has a servo in his inventory.
Alright, time for a lot make over, This three story nonsense is driving me bonkers. My new house is huge, if not a little boxy, but I'm happy with it. the lot went from four bedrooms to six, two bathrooms to three, which now all include showers, litter boxes and training potties. I don't know why I have the two extra bedrooms, I doubt they'll get used.
I hear Allison's ghost. I guess she's checking out the new place, but I have no idea where she is. It's like she's see-through or summat. Oh, there she is, teasing Berkeley. God, she's loud tonight. I better move her inside, maybe she's too cold. Better keep the urns out of the bedrooms, though. That'd be a little weird.
Actually, I think I will send Metatron to a new lot. I don't need him to keep the house, that's what grandparents are for. Heeheehooha. Arcadia got two promotions in as many days, so I think she can spare the couple days. Make that three promotions.
Alright, time to make a freaking heir. Conception on the first try. Yes! Sartre reached the top of the Show Business career track, she's a star! Hurray!
Silly me, I didn't give up the goods on Leto and Eos' persons. Leto's a Cancer, 9/1/9/6/9, Oh my blob! She's awesome! I love her. Eos is a Taurus, 5/7/6/7/5. Oh my blobins! I love her, too! [Yes, I didn't look until just now.]
And another promotion for Arcadia! Man, she works fast. Okay, she's got 5 promotions back to back. She finally hit a wall 'cause she needs a couple mech points, but I can knock those out in no time. She needs to spend SOME time with her kids, though, so she'll take the time allowed her off and use it to focus on her family.
I got Iapetus electrocuted. He was playing with a kite. Did he care? Nupe, he started playing red hands with his boy.
Omigosh! Arcadia's having twins! And one has blue eyes! ... They're both girls... Four girls. No boys. Welp, welcome to the family, Metis and Selene. Shit, shit, shit. And my pencil broke! Ahhhh!
And I won't have Iapetus and Cassidy for much longer! Both are about to meet Death's cold embrace. At least Eos grows up today. I'll break this down: In my household there is Iapetus and Cassidy, Astraeus and Arcadia, Leto and Eos, Metis and Selene, Berkeley, Sartre and Zeno. Plus Thales the hamster... guinea pig. That's twelve people and pets. AN STILL NO HEIR! I'm going to cry.
Oops, never mind, Iapetus just died. My screen is full of red tombstones. okay, let's bust out the numbers. $20,000 to Cassidy, $3,800 to Astraeus, $7,600 to Asteria, $8,200 to Artemis and $1,875 to Leto. He's the first sim to die and leave money to all his children. You weren't so bad, Iapetus. I mean, you were, but you made up for it. So kudos.
He died in the kitchen making himself espresso. Omigosh! Berkeley just attacked Zeno! What?! It's Sartre he doesn't like! What's going on here!? What a bad dog!
Nooo! Eos brought home Marsha! God, that kid needs to grow up. And look, Arcadia's been promoted again. She is good at this job thing.
And though Berkeley had a minor setback of getting fired, he too reaches the top of the Security career track, and joins the prestigious Pet Corps.
Cripes! Arcadia lit the kitchen on fire. Nooo, burned pork chops. Sad. Just as Cassidy makes her way to the great beyond. And Sartre runs away! What is this?!? Oh we are calling the cops and bringing her straight back home. Stirring up this dramatic nonsense! Enough of your shenanigans! Great. Selene's aspiration bottomed out. Nothing like Grandpa dying as your first childhood memory. It was going to happen people! She was 75 days old!
Okay, insurance count. $1,400 to Selene, $790 to Arcadia, $3,400 to Astraeus, $1,800 to Asteria and $8,100 to Artemis. Gee, wonder who her favorite was.
The burned pork chops disappeared! Great! They can't even eat... And the oven ate Astraeus' salmon! The oven is possessed! We're getting a new one. This is poxy.
Metis was 8 hours late turning into a toddler, but it finally happened. Astraeus and Arcadia are exhausted. Let's break the twins down. Metis is a Gemini,  5/9/9/4/5, Selene, a Pisces,  5/7/9/4/9. Bringing back memories of the early years. I'll get the girls through toddlerhood (with a hope and a prayer) and then it's time to try for an heir YET AGAIN!
Twins are bawls. I wish Metatron was here to help out. This family is not a dog family. Poor Berkeley. Everyone plays with Zeno and (before she took off) Sartre. Zeno is the last to reach top career position as a rescue Pet. I don't know why that makes me want to see a Great Dane-Chihuahua mix.
Omiglob, it's like I'm running a day care. And Iapetus' ghost wakes up Leto and scares her, making her lose bladder control. Nice, old man. Nice. And Crius steals the newspaper again. My former heirs are just wreaking havoc!
Alright, two days before the two youngest become kids, time to make whoopy, eh, woohoo. And conception on the first try again~~~ Please be a boy, please be a boy, please be a boy. Pray, pray, pray.
And finally I get a call from the gypsy woman saying she found Sartre! And I get this warning to take better care of her so this doesn't happen again.. She ran away 'cause Cassidy died! What, like it's going to happen again?!
I guess I understand, though. Sartre didn't like anyone else in the family. Alright, I'll be nicer to Sartre. Starting now. And Crius stole my newspaper yet again! What is this?! And Berkeley's just laying there right next to him! Letting him take it! Kinda frustrating.
Leto grows up to a teenager, I roll a one. Wealth sim, yus! Not a Pleasure sim. Happy happy happy. Hee, Metatron stopped by and I ran to greet him. He's cleaning my house. I'm double happy. Freaking Cassidy's ghost keeps waking up the girls. Alright, pet challenge completed. All the animals know all their tricks and all reached the top of each career path. Now I just need a boy.
Metis and Selene are now cute little girls. I'm a little concerned about Leto, though. Ever since she turned into a teenager she's always tilting her head. It's... it's just weird.
Eos becomes a teenager, I roll a five. Damn pop sims. Headmaster BJ is over to add the next generation of Cygnus' to Ebonwood Private School, sadly this visit doesn't include a boy. I want that boy, damnit! Trollololol, omiglob, I forgot I bought a stereo. I heard Salsa music. It freaked me out for a second. Salmon night is, once again, a success. Leto, Eos, Metis and Selene all get into private school. Allison makes yet another appearance to congratulate the ladies and scares the pants off Eos. Damn it, woman. And Meto! And Metis and Selene! Petes sake, lady! Take a night off! You were perma-plat when you died. Angry old bag. You're worse than Ms. Crumplebottom.
And Arcadia FINALLY had a boy! Omrigosh! YAAAAAAY! I was starting to freak out. His name is Atlas, by the way. No more sex for Astraeus and Arcadia. Thta's it! Five kids is just plain over-doing it.
Apparently Marylena's night to mess with the girls. Gosh damnit! Way to go, lady! Messing with the kids' sleeping schedules! Next night is Iapetus and Allison's turn. Poor kids. Well, at least they got a few days of peace before their birthday. Metis and Selene are now teenagers. Metis rolled a three, Romance. Shit. Selene rolled a five. Eff. My. Life. Pop sims, I swear. How about a two or four, hmm!?! Just once?!!?
Did I mention Atlas' stats? I don't think so. This is the first time I've seen them (now that he's a boy er, child). He's a Capricorn! 10/2/2/8/9. Awesome. He's my first Capricorn. I am beyond excited!
I will never be rid of Ivy's nose. Yes, Ivy. As in the first spouse. Six generations ago. It's survived this long. Despite no other spouses having had that nose. Still it haunts the Cygnus', It is their trademark. -sigh- Marylena and Cassidy are haunting tonight. That's it. I'm moving their urns. The family will have a nice little grave yard.
Welp, Thales finally dies. Remember that hamster I got you when you were just a lad, Astraeus? Yeah, it JUST died. That thing lasted longer than the bird by miles. What a trooper.
Awww no! Death's taking Berkeley! Berkeley! I loved you! That's weird. Everyone started playing red hands after his death. It was a weird compulsion! And ode to Berkeley. I should have painted him. He was a cool dog. Mean to cats, absolutely filthy, great with toddlers. I'll miss him.
-yawn- Prepping the girls for college. Leto and Eos don't have much longer to dilly-dally. I'm being careless with Atlas. He should be much further along in his own studies. Most of the girls are pretty set, actually. It's Metis that's slacking, but when she does study, she studies very well.
I haven't decided whether or not to get new pets after these ones pass on. I wish I had made Sartre and Zeno have kittens when I had the chance. Damn, those kittens would have been cute. I'm glad I'm done with this challenge, though. Three animals are a lot to train and care for in one generation. Especially when that generation had five kids.
Marylena and Iapetus haunt tonight. Marylena's turning on all the electronics. Cooking shows on the tv and Jazz playing two rooms behind it. Sartre passes on. Drama queen extraordinaire.
And my game explodes! Oh no! When was the last time I saved?! OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD! Alright, now that I'm done having a heart attack (two days later) let's take a look at the damage. Okay, Sartre hasn't died yet, but nothing before that is missing. Phew! And she redies. Well, at least I save often. Heh.
I electrocute Metis...She tried to repair the microwave. Aww, that's too cute! I go to make Astraeus kiss one of his daughters and he does it before I click the option. So sweet. Well, now all his kids are in school and his wife's at work. Only one home is Zeno, the retired Rescue pet. Astraeus spends all his time with him. I should have him finish the Servo... Zeno just died.
Now, I know I'm not obligated to the girls in the family, but I still like for them to be happy, and Leto is in serious need of happy. I'm taking her on a night on the town before she heads off to college.
Hmm, not much luck. Oh well, off she goes. With the girls going off to college and no more pets in the house it's getting too big for just Astraeus, Arcadia and Atlas. Remodeling in the next patch. The ghosts are playing with their tombstones tonight.
Atlas turns into a teenager tonight and I can finally install the next patch. I roll a four. Family sim! Woot! No way! I'm done with the Pet expansion pack! Heee! Alright folks, I'm off.

Iapetus Cygnus

Open for Business installed. Everyone won't stop crying about Marylena's death. They all want to resurrect her. She was an awesome grandma, I can't deny that, but I couldn't ask for a better departure. I'll leave her be.
Allison got her job back as a waitress and redeemed herself in the culinary field by making great soup for an Italian wedding. They were so pleased that she got $2k worth of the take on the whole event. Oceanus didn't make it this far in the field.
Mnemosyne, being a wealth sim, wanted to get into private school, so again we invite Headmaster Vince over for some salmon and an opportunity to get to know the latest batch of the Cygnus clan. Poor Headmaster. Eating dinner with this family takes HOURS because of all their social points, but by the end of dinner the family accumulated 42 points from dinner, and 30 social points, that's 72 out of 90. That was just the food part. Obviously they got in, and Mnemosyne plat boomed.
I don't think there's a difference in the quality of education; the only thing that seems to change is the school uniform. She got a job in crime, too, and got promoted her first night. Nothing more for her here really, so I send her to college. Themis, too, but not before Marylena could come out to scare the balls off Iapetus. A little 'Brother torture' goodbye present. Nice, Marylena.
Someone kicked over my trashcan! Aw man. Cockroaches everywhere. Iapetus -> teendom -> rolled 2 -> Knowledge. Wooo! Except that's useless, he'll be rerolling in college, and its unlikely he'll reach his LTW at all, since he's going to be focusing on the toy store.
Oceanus, in the meantime, is out on the town, trying to find one Cassidy Chun, whom I intend to make Iapetus' bride. Apparently there's a new vampire in town, Countess Jeannie, and she's not afraid to bite people in public. She's already bitten three or four people. I like her.
I've seen Cassidy only a few times, but lately she's being elusive. Oceanus has been beefing up relationships with the family as a pass time. I guess I could make it easy on Crius and make some fast friends so he can finally get promoted.
A couple of the ladies are always out on the town. Andrea Hogan, Arcadia something. Arcadia's hard to talk to, but she'd be a great spouse someday.
Man, these college kids are creepy. Stop coming to my house! Allison got promoted to Restauranteer, first night, she invests in putting her restaurants in airports and makes a cool $55k. I'm rather impressed. She's making the family buku-bucks.
Everyone in the house is so social. They NEED to be around someone, or on the phone. I feel like they're as bad as Marsha.
But Cassidy Chun finally returns to the bright lights in downtown and Oceanus pounces like a jungle cat. They make fast friends, and Oceanus heart farts all the way back home.
I am so changing that bowling outfit and make-up when she joins the family. The next night Oceanus invites her over to meet Iapetus. They hit it off just as fast as she did with Oceanus. No compatibility problems there. He's still a teen though. No hanky panky until college, kiddo.
Bless Allison for remaining young at heart. She nearly crapped her pants here. Obviously Iapetus is messed up in the head if he's making toys like this. He has a bad habit of not flushing either. It's freaking disgusting. But he does work hard at his toy-making bench. Many many hours logged. But it's time for him to shove off to college. [pause]
Bam... he's rolling wants to call his mom... great. He is NOT cut out to be a knowledge sim. 9 active? There's no way. I'm glad I'll be rerolling .... now! Pleasure sim! Now that's more like it... with an LTW of going on 50 1st dates... Eff that. Sorry, Iapetus. You have obligations. Pleasure totally suits him better though. He's rolling wants to rap freestyle for tips.
Badass, right? He's going to be the greatest dad ever.
As a pleasure sim, it's not out of the ordinary to want to go out on dates. Perfect opportunity to start romancing Cassidy. They make their way to a botanical restaurant, and his dad's there! No hanky panky tonight, Iapetus. But they hit if off rather well, despite no woohoo, and the date was a complete success. I got his influence all the way up, make good use of that when trying to get people to do my term paper. Bwah hahaha! And dream dates seem to boost all ne
eds. He was so in the green at the end of the night. Second date? Woohoo in the photobooth. Oh yes.
After that she came by and dropped off a freaking karaoke machine. I like this chick.
Iapetus is the perfect sim to own a toy store. He's always rolling wants to have a dj booth, a bubble blower, pinball machines. This is going to be great. By bubble blower I mean hookah. Every single college kid in the dormitory wastes all their time on that thing. College was fast. He graduates Summa Cum Laude.

What does he get when he comes back home from college? A lecture from his dad. The hell, man? Anyway, community lot purchased, toy store made, stocked, and ready to go. I need to hire a cashier, Iapetus sucks at it.
First day he hires three ladies, Sandy, Rose, and Jan, and the store gets its first star. Hecks yes.
Back home Allison is gossiping to Crius about how Iapetus burned the macaroni and cheese when he was still a teenager. Awesome, Allison, making fun of your own kids.
Time for Cassidy to join the family and start pumpin out kids. She brings in 8k and 5 friends; she's a wealth sim, with an LTW to become a Hall of Famer (athletic career track), and she's a Gemini, 4/7/8/3/3. That's a lot like Iapetus.
Conception on the first try, though. Man, the men in this family are good~~
Oceanus paints a picture of some creepy clowns and the painting sellfs for $666. Ah! Actually his paintings are going for a lot more lately. Nearly $800 for one. Nice~~
Cassidy just gets done cleaning the downstairs bathroom, then promptly throws up in it. Way to go, Cassidy.
Second day at work Jan quits after getting a badge in sales. But I found out Cassidy has badges in sales and toy making. I can bring her to work with Iapetus. After the babies born, though. Her and Iapetus' aspiration bars are hell to keep even in the green. I refuse to buy a bowling alley. It's the only thing either of them roll for. I got the freaking DJ booth for them, and the pinball machine, but the bar is still so low. They don't even use them! And I'm not buying a tv. Those things are too freaking loud. As if the music room wasn't loud enough!
Why do these people not flush anymore? It's so gross.
Cassidy goes into labor at 3:12 am. A boy! Huzzaw! In keeping with the family tradition of naming offspring after titans, we're naming the boy Astraeus. No more kids. He'll just have to survive the ghosts of his forbears.
And rank 3 at the toy store! Another 2 and I can forget about that place. I bring Oceanus with me the next time I go to the toy store and he immediately wants to fire everyone. Heart Oceanus. A critic stopped by the store and gave us a good review. Rank 5 here we come~~
To celebrate I get Cassidy that job in Athletics. Her first day she brings home this dude from work who looks exactly like Iapetus. His name is Amin. It took me a while to figure out why Iapetus was playing the guitar instead of going to work. The only difference? Amins eyes are dark blue. Iapetus' are gray.
Freaking weird, right?!
3 generations later and Marsha freaking Bruenig is still calling my house.
I get the feeling Crius is going to kick the bucket soon. I will be bringing him back as a zombie, but I'd still like for his initial death to be a pleasant one. So I'm getting the family together and throwing his a grilled cheese party. He and Allison became fam sims in their old age. Both keep rolling wants for another grandchild. Too bad!
His death was awesome. Same day (as if by magic) Astraeus enters toddlerhood. Let's take a peek under the hood. ... Pisces. 5/7/9/4/9. Who'd have freaking guessed that?!?!
Crius' insurance benefits 5 people, his wife, his son, his grandson, and neither of his daughters, but two of his frat brothers from freaking college. Crius. You're an ass.
Someone's gotta bring him back as a zombie and only Oceanus fears it. Nice to know you love your little man. I choose you, Allison. and in a puff of red smoke, Crius returns as the second undead in the household.
It's the monster mash! Damn. He returns 0/4/2/1/0; sloppy, lazy, serious and grouchy... befitting of a zombie, actually.
Cassidy maxed out her fun on the treadmill (weird active people) so I switched her up to yoga. She's pretty fast at gaining body points, but since she's not all that nice. I imagine her charisma leveling is going to suck. Bwahahaha, Iapetus is such a big kid. He plays outside with his toys while his employees work their butts off for him. My poor workers. I should give them a raise.
But I do have too many people creating the toys. More than are going out, and its costing me money and inventory space. It might be time to cut back on the productivity. So far the store is a money suck. And the customers are silly. Twirling around in circles, making questioning gestures as if they don't know what they want, and then getting upset when no one comes to help them. Is it too hard to find out what you're looking for?! There are only two rows of toys! Jeez! -rage- -rage- -rage-
And when Iapetus goes home Grandma Allison dies, causing Astraeus to hit aspiration bottom for the second time in less that 24 hours. Her benefits go to her son, her daughter Themis (just the one), her grandson, and some guy named Vince. No idea who he is.
With Iapetus trying to get the company to dish out some dough and Cassidy working her butt off the only people left to take care of the boy are Oceanus and Crius. A vampire and a zombie. Trusting the undead with childcare? What could go wrong? At least they're family.
And win. Iapetus' toy store is now a 5 star business. Time to shut down and never come back. Mwahahahaha! The poor guys aspiration has been too low for too long. It's time to focus on him and his family, zombie dad included.
No, 'cause this is cool, setting the house on fire via the microwave. Is that even possible?
Astraeus is now a boy and I can stop taking notes until the next expansion! Until next time, kiddies.

Crius Cygnus

University installed, Ravencrest Academy created, and I'm rearing to go. Crius is skilling up nicely. He's a bit of a nerd, but I like 'em like that. Since Rhea's recovering from her near-death experience, Crius did her homework for her. He also helped Phoebe into toddlerdom and we finally have a new astrological sign, Sagittarius, 6/3/9/7/4. Medium neat is peachy with me. And it appears the alien green skin is dying out of the family. Here you can see Phoebe, just behind Oceanus as he threatens to eat his own child.
We'll see if this holds true with Crius' kids.
So Crius' Life Time Want (from here on out it will be abbreviated to LTW) is to become a Business Tycoon. I think I can manage that. Logic and Charisma, if I remember correctly, but I do have to reroll his aspiration in college. So for the time being, I'll just even out his skills.
And now Ivy's ghost is trying to kill Rhea. What the hex? The poor kid's aspiration bottomed out. I called Marsha Bruenig to raise it, and as soon as that child gets any recognition from the family she goes into stalker mode. My phone hasn't stopped ringing since. Here Rhea is desperately trying to get her aspiration up. (A little too desperately if you ask me.)

Ivy's ghost is worse than Hyperion's. He popped once or twice and let the family be, but Ivy seemed to have some serious beef. I resorted to having the kids go to bed as soon as they got home from school so they could get some semblance of peace.
I'm such a bad vampire keeper. I keep forgetting to send Oceanus back to his coffin before the sun comes out. I'm going to get him killed one of these days. [pause]
It happened. I killed Oceanus. Well, he killed himself really. He left to go to work in the middle of the day half dead... but since he's undead, I don't know what to call that. Then he lost his job because of his half undeath, and came home, during the day still, only to throw a fit right in the parking lot; refusing to go to his coffin. His temper tantrum got him crispified and Death came to collect him.
Marylena came home right as Ole Grim was pouring her husbands ashes into a lovely gray urn, and bolted to plead for his life-err undeath. Grim, being the betting sort, put Oceanus' soul in one of his two skeleton hands, mixed them around a bit and told Marylena to choose one.
Thankfully, she chose correctly and Oceanus was given his existence back. I quickly chucked his ass into the coffin before he got himself killed again trying to thank Marylena.
Fun times. Oceanus agrees.

And great. The night I invite the Private School Headmaster over for dinner is the night Hyperion and Ivy both make an appearance. Luckily, I kept him busy enough for them not the get the chance to make the poor guy pee himself.
Rhea finally turned into a teenager, rolled 2. Ahh Knowledge Sim, how I missed thee. Now~ when Hyperion and Ivy scare the pants off her she gets a good memory instead of a bad one. Knowledge sims are sick like that. And Rhea was nice enough to repay Crius for doing her homework when he was trying to get a job promotion.
I got Marylena pregnant again. Apparently vampires can have babies. Just in time, too; after he has the baby she goes into elder mode.
Two nights of bliss and then Ivy's ghost comes back to wreak havoc on her family and Rhea gets abducted by aliens. I can do nothing about the abduction, but Phoebe has to catch up on her Z's. So I'm watching her like a hawk in case Ivy tried anything funny. Sure enough, she goes for the kiddies. I tried moving Phoebe to another bed to escape her wrath.
The alien armada brought Rhea back unscathed, but Ivy's ghost is scaring Marylena and Phoebe relentlessly. She's pregnant, lady, back off. I was able to figure out though, that Ivy usually stays on the second floor. I think some remodeling is in order.
While Crius was busy breaking everything as if he was a zombie already, Marylena had her baby, Coeus. A spare! To boot, Ivy shows up to meet the newborn. I need to stop putting off this remodeling. [pause]
Remodeling complete. See how fast that was? Yeah, not for me. That took 2 days of research, refitting, resizing and furnishing. I'm very particular.
Ha! I didn't know you could have people look into coffins! Oceanus scared the hell out of Marylena. Her hair went white! Just kidding, but she did become an elder, same day Phoebe became a teenager. Rolled a 4, fam sim, just like her mam. And Coeus entered toddlerdom. A pisces, surprise, surprise, 8/7/9/1/9. All in one day. I time these rather well, don't I?
Well, I was right. Ivy sticks to haunting the 2nd floor. She threw a fit all night about having no one to haunt and that the beds weren't made. Anyway, it's time to get some scholarships and send Crius to college. We'll send Rhea and Phoebe later. One last look at the bunch altogether now.
Alrighty, Crius is in college. First semester went by way too fast. That's not good! But he did make fast friends with Jenna, a secret society member. Fingers crossed. Crius also went to the music hall on campus. Totally rocked the crowds on bass, and met one, Quinten Go, also a society member, also fast friends. Both these guys are in his dormitory.
Joining the Greek house was a lot easier than I initially thought. Apparently all you need is to know the members a minuscule amount, instead of having proper friendships.
Holy, oh my, whoa. I completely forgot about looking for a spouse for him. I took to campus on a mission. College chicks in this game are.. ugly. Not an Ivy, Marisa, Meadow or Marylena face in the lot. But one did catch my eye. Genesis something or other. Of course Crius wasn't intrigued at all. At least they get along well. We'll keep her as an option.
Crius made it to Junior year. Time for reroll. 1... shoot, I have to make him a grilled cheese sim. LTW? Eat 200 grilled cheese sandwiches. That will probably stay the same once I turn him into a zombie... What if it resets?!?! Crap.
Also the Greek House is falling apart. the guys keep bringing home pizza and leaving it out everywhere, so it rots and attracts cockroaches and then everyone gets the flu and starts puking everywhere. But do they stop bringing home pizza?! Nuuuu.
Matthew, the fam sim, is completely insane after all the cockroaches. Mickey, the romance sim, won't stop puking in the shower. Guy, the pop sim, plays it cool while playing the piano. Admittedly, he's my favorite of the bunch. I'm going to lose this fraternity if I don't whip these kids into shape.
Okay. After a bit of training and attention, these guys just might have a shot at this college thing. Naturally Crius is breezing right on through. Still haven't made it to that secret society though. I guess I've just been so concerned with my frat brothers, I forgot. I don't care so much that they get straight A's. I just care that they don't get kicked out of college or die. Either would be bad for the fraternity. Anyway, they've all made tremendous progress and I'm very proud with how they turned themselves around.
I admit I was content with them doing as they pleased for a while, but considering the state the lot get themselves in, I thought it best to intervene. It turns out they only need minor attention to progress substantially.
Then it happened. The perfect specimen. Black hair, gray eyes, dark skin. Marisa face. I was in love~~ With everything except her name: Allison. The best part was Crius was absolutely bonkers for her. (Or at least I thought so until I saw the red chemistry bolt.) I invite her over as much as I can.
Now I'm getting a little worried. I've made friends with 3 society members and they haven't come to collect me yet. I hope this fraternity business hasn't deterred them. I'll just be patient. I always have Coeus, anyway. [pause]
Yus! Crius has been arrested by the society. Finally. Jenna wasn't apart of the welcoming commity. That makes me sad. I thought they were friends, damnit. As retribution I took the Resurrect-O-Nomitron. After robbing the secret society blind~~~ for which I felt no regret, I returned home to my frat brethren ~~ And Crius and Allison rocked out into the wee hours of the morn.
It's rather strange. Since Crius has become a cheese sim all his room mates favor that specific dish. I'm not complaining, since it's kind of nice loading their aspiration bars just by eating. This phenomenon does please me. I hope it works on the family, back home.
At some point during the night I did hear something very similar to snuggling sounds. I discovered the noise was coming from one of the brothers while he was stargazing. It was quite unsettling. Of course they pay no attention to the streaker running through their living room, but totally use the telescope to spy on their neighbors. Just a might bit creepy.
In most situations I leave Crius to do whatever he pleases as I have not yet decided on a career path for him. I don't know that I want any other career benefits aside from the b-rez phone, which is safely tucked away in Crius' pants. So he sticks with his major in economy, and graduates Magna Cum Laude, and I returned him to the legacy lot to reign over Cygnus' far and wide.
Crius is back home, and got a job as a wedding photographer in the art field, just as Marylena burned her breakfast and Oceanus came rushing out of his coffin to go freak out about it. Coeus became a child and I shunted Rhea off to college. The house is getting too crowded.
Later that day, Crius came home promoted to art forger. Ahh the life of crime. Ivy, how your memory is embraced. So stop haunting! [And she more or less listens.] Since Crius took a job in art, I made him look the part. I thought I took pictures of it, too. Hmm.
It's so great and yet so weird not having any toddlers in the house anymore. To get the ball rolling on that, Crius went out on a date with Allison to a local 50's diner. Who wouldn't want to go on a date there?
She sucks at red hands, but they got super lovey super quick, and I got to see the First Kiss cinematic. I forgot how cute they are. That same date they did it right in the restaurant. Quite slutty, if you ask me. I already forgot about my strict family values handicap. Shame on me.
Needless to say their date was declared a dream date. Later that night some roses were left mysteriously on my porch, and the next night Allison called pleading for another date.
I declined; it's time to make her part of the family. Crius proposed and Allison accepted, but bad news as her memory of this event is a bad one. I foresee a romance sim in my future. The horror!! Yep, Romance Sim. I guess the clues where there in that first date. LTW? Be a chef. She brings in $15,000, though. Taurus, rocking a 5/5/3/8/4. Alright Allison, you can stay. You aren't a Pisces.
Being that she's a slut sim, it didnt take much convincing to get them to consummate the marriage that night, but it did take a couple tries for her to get knocked up. Don't be difficult, woman.
Oceanus finished his novel, FINALLY. I thought he was going to bottom out before he finished it. He's sticking with creating masterpieces from now on. Masterpieces and Novel writing are the only thing he has aspirations for.
Also, someone isn't flushing. This is worrisome. Everyone in the house is so clean. But 2 bathrooms for 6 people isn't working out at all. Time to kick out more kids. I've fallen madly in love with Phoebe, but she fights with Allison. Then again Allison doesn't get along with anyone. She doesn't even like Coeus. He's just a kid, I don't get it. He's a total sweet heart to boot.
Phoebe pranked Allison as a joke, thinking anyone with that much playful points has to have a good sense of humor, right? Think again, dear. Allison poked her! Well, Phoebe wasn't having any of that, she poked her right back, pregnant or not.
Fricken Marsha Bruenig! Didn't I say she wouldn't stop calling? She called at NOON on a weekday asking for Oceanus! Not only is he a vampire, forever shunned from the sun, but shouldn't she be in school?! Stop skipping! No wonder you never grow up!
Speaking of growing up, Coeus grew up~~~ and I roll a 5. Shit. Another pop sim. Same day (I really am good at timing these), Allison had her baby, green skin, black hair, gray eyes!
And a girl. Shucks. But because I'm please with the eye color (and not at all because I'm running out of names for Titaness'), I've named her Mnemosyne. Two tries before the next conception. Hey, the kids have Grandma Marylena and Vampire Oceanus to take care of them. I'm not worried.
What does worry me is that these college kids, kids that Crius and Allison haven't even met before, keep barging into the house and doing whatever they please.
Day breaks and I send Oceanus to his coffin, like the good little vampire caretaker I'm learning to become. Does he book it before he, once again, burns up into a little ash pile? Nu~~~ He takes his sweet ole time. As penance everyone burned their breakfast that morning. It was like a warning.
Mnemosyne enters toddlerdom- ... Another Pisces. 8/7/9/1/9. Honestly. Gorgeous gray eyes, though.
Bwa hahaha, I totally forgot vampires can't see their reflections. Oceanus intended to primp up before his slumber, looked into the mirror, made a questioning noise and then hissed at it.
Allison has another kid. Another girl. Gee whiz, patriarchies are just balls. I know why no one does them now. My poor spouses. They can never have just one. The child's name is Themis, by the way. And my house is getting crowded again. 7 people. Shunting Coeus off to college. I miss those kids already. So much cooler than Allison.
At least conception is getting easier. First try. That's right, Allison. BEND to my will, -flex- -flex-
Themis toddlerfies, and GUESS WHAT. Pisces, 6/8/9/1/9. Pisces, Pisces, Pisces, oh my God, Pisces. I know these pregnancies are going a little quick, but we can handle it, what with grandma and grandpa. Hyperion didn't have it this lucky. Allison got a lecture about that DURING labor. And we finally have a boy, Iapetus. Hurry up, friend Owl, the new prince is born!
Woops, sorry Themis, didn't see the milk had gone bad. She threw up on herself. She and Mnemosyne glitter twirl (grow-upify), and Iapetus does the same. Holy whoa! He ISN'T a Pisces!! Sagittarius, 5/7/9/8/6. I like it.
Seeing as Crius and Allison dont give two hoots about their kids, raising them is mostly left to Marylena, need I remind you, sees a fam sim, so she's in aspiration heaven. Allison lost her job as a waitress. She gave some hot shot water with lemon in it, and he turned out to be allergic to it. As a result she's able to spend more time at home with Marylena and Iapetus. Able to. Still doesn't.
Marylena kicked the bucket in the hallway with her son and all three grandchildren blocking the grim reaper and hula dancers.
Atta girl. Again, great timing, Iapetus glitter twirled into a real boy, Mnemosyne becomes a teenybopper and I roll a one. Wealth sim, yeah! This is where I leave you because these are a LOT of notes. Stay tuned for Open for Business and much horror.

Oceanus Cygnus

Nightlife, what hell. With this expansion, everyone has life time wants. Neither Hyperion or Ivy had a shot in hell of reaching theirs. Tethys' is to become Mayor, Theia's is to become Chief of Staff, and Oceanus is to become a Celebrity Chef. I thought it was a little below the first heir of my legacy, too, but I just had to roll a pop sim again, didn't I?
Oceanus made fantastic use of the simvacs, stealing skill points from both Ivy and Hyperion, since both had reached the top of their career paths. They were scared of it, and ran away and got angry with Oceanus every time. Not for very long though. I was satisfied with his skills, so it was time to hit the town, downtown, so he could meet his betrothed, Marylena. What luck, she was the first person on the lot.
Here's the two of them singing karaoke, Oceanus has a lovely voice.
Hyperion did have to kick the bucket earlier than I'd hoped, but the insurance more than made up for it. $20,000 to his wife, Ivy, $9,000 to Theia and $3,300 to Oceanus... and nothing for Tethys, strangely.
So Tethys glitter twirled into adulthood, landing herself a job as a city assemblywoman, and Theia did the same, landing herself a job as a nurse. I moved them out to make way for Marylena and the young ones. They live across the street. They're house is huge.
I sent Oceanus back downtown to meet a vampire, trying my luck once again. Instead Oceanus shot the breeze with Goopy and they laughed at everyone trying to dance on the dance floor. The second night I went back to the karaoke club and Mrs Crumplebottom made sure no one had a good time. Marylena showed up, but her singing is terrible, so I sang a duet with Goopy instead. I need to get one of these karaoke machines for the house. I tried every night of his teenagerhood to find a vampire, but nothing.
Oceanus had to grow up, and get married, though. I invited Marylena over and getting her to join the family was way too easy. I soon found out why. She's a fam sim, Cancer, 6/3/6/4/6 and a job in law enforcement. It would seem she would have made a better match with Hyperion, but with his personality, I have my doubts.
Family women seem harder to get pregnant, and Marylena was no exception, but we got there.
Even after growing up and getting married, I kept having Oceanus go downtown, looking for a vampire. I was beginning to suspect my game was corrupted. I was starting to get more annoying glitches, and was having trouble loading the game in general, so I re-installed.
First night after the reload, Oceanus picks a fight with one, Opal Trimble. She kicked his ass, but he wasn't having that. He picked another and whooped hers the next time. They're sworn enemies now. I have no idea how they got to be that way, I was too busy watching out for vampires.
Back at the homestead, Crius Cygnus was born! A Pisces, 8/7/9/1/9. I can't complain with those numbers, they are awesome! Marylena was soon pregnant again. Hyperion didn't really get a chance to make a spare, I don't see whats stopping Oceanus. However this, time they had a girl, Rhea, exactly like Crius, Pisces, 8/7/9/1/9. That's not creepy. We'll try for a spare again, though.
Another trip downtown, and success! FINALLY! Count Alvin Lam, where the hell have you been?! I had Oceanus make his acquaintance quickly. The sun came up shortly after, so the Count had to book it quick, and Oceanus needed to get some rest.
He came home to discover Ivy had also passed away, but not with such a grand departing gift as Hyperion. She wasn't too happy about her death. No one was, really. Despite her sloppiness, her children and Marylena really liked her. She made an awesome grandma, too. Crius hit aspiration rock bottom when she died.
Shit just hit the fan after that. Oceanus got fired, Marylena got demoted, and the nanny peed on the floor. I have two bathrooms, and no one was home to get in her way! So that's a mystery.
Oceanus barked in his sleep after he lost his job. I found that especially amusing, and after all the crap, I needed a good laugh.
I invited the count over for a midnight snack as it were, and instead of blood, Alvin preferred spaghetti. I was pretty disappointed, but I found out I could influence him to bite people. I had to send him home though, daylight was coming, and again, Oceanus needed sleep. I brought him over the next night, and meant for Marylena to influence him to bite Oceanus.
They were all in the living room, and right as she reached the Count she went into labor. Great timing, Marylena. She had another girl at that. [Because I totally don't blame Oceanus for their daughters.] And Phoebe joined the stage. I fed her, and burped her and had her craddled, trying to hurry before the sun came up. Again, success. Oceanus is now a vampire. Alien vampires look crazy.
The next night Hyperion's ghost scared the crap out of Rhea. Literally. There's a mess on the floor to prove it. To boot, she was exhausted and starving. He's tying to kill her! She passed out in the upstairs hallway.
He scared Oceanus too. I found it interesting that a vampire is a afraid of a ghost, but then again, it is his father.
I made food really quick, had her eat it before she starved to death and sent her to bed as soon as I could. I almost lost a child! This is why I need spares. My founders trying to kill off his grandchildren. And he was Captain Hero! The same night Crius age transitioned. I rolled a one. Wealth sim, easy-peasy, lemon squeezy. Time for University.
